This rather simple painting with very bright colours was inspired by the Black Orpheus by Camus. This film is the transposition of the Orpheus and Euridice’s myth in the Rio De Janeiro’s carnival. This very bright painting was made in grey London where I was aware that I could never be completely integrated in the Anglo-Saxon culture, due to my Latin roots. |
